An actor is in custody after allegedly stabbing his estranged girlfriend multiple times in her Los Angeles home and then fleeing to the U.S.-Mexico border. The incident occurred on May 23, leaving the victim hospitalized with critical injuries.

Nick Pasqual, known for guest roles on TV shows like “How I Met Your Mother” and “Archive 81,” is accused of breaking into the victim’s home around 4:30 a.m. Armed with a knife, he attacked the woman, who had recently filed a restraining order against him. Prosecutors say that Pasqual fled the scene after the brutal assault and was later apprehended at a U.S.-Mexico border checkpoint in Texas.

Pasqual now faces serious charges, including attempted murder and first-degree residential burglary with a person present. The arraignment date has not been set yet. Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón expressed sympathy for the victim, emphasizing the importance of addressing domestic violence. He stated, “Our office, including our Bureau of Victim Services, extends our support and resources to her as she embarks on the long and difficult journey of healing from both the physical and emotional trauma inflicted upon her”.

Gascón further emphasized the gravity of the situation, saying, “This heinous incident is a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic violence. We will ensure that the individual responsible for this egregious act is held accountable for their actions”. If convicted, Pasqual could face life imprisonment.
