Easy Deep-Fried Donut Recipe

Makes 6 donuts (1-inch) or 12 donuts (½-inch) 

– 4 tbsp softened butter – 1 cup white sugar – 3 egg – 2 cups sifted white flour


– 1 tsp baking powder – 1 tsp cinnamon – 4-5 cups fat/shortening for frying

1. Cream butter and sugar together. 2. Beat in eggs, one at a time. 3. Gently mix in flour, baking powder, and cinnamon. 4. Knead dough until smooth and form 1-inch balls.

Instructions: Donut Dough

1. Heat oil to 375°F in a large pot. 2. Carefully drop dough balls into the hot oil. 3. Fry until golden brown. 4. Drain on paper towels.

Cooking the Donut

1. Flour a surface and roll out dough to ¾-inch thickness. 2. Use a donut cutter or cut donut shapes with a knife. 3. Fry until golden brown (2-3 minutes).
